Here are some pics from our #PurpleDay2020 event at Disney in Florida on March 1st, 2020
This year’s event was a bit different as it was a full day with lots of fun, education, awareness. We started the day with meet and greets, breakfast, a teen panel and of course photo ops with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.
We had a beautiful lunch while we moved into the expo where there were many breakout sessions filled with lots of wonderful information and education on various issues that we all face living with epilepsy and resources that can help us. Thank you to the presenters, panels and speakers, you all did a great job.
There was also the exhibitor’s rooms where we were all able to meet our event sponsors along with so many people and advocates who all work so hard to make a difference in the lives of everyone living with epilepsy. Everyone was excited to see the MediKids there and have their photos taken with them as well.
We had a break for supper and then, of course, we ended the event off by all coming together at Epcot to Spaceship Earth to light it up purple for #PurpleDay and #Epilepsyawareness.
I want to thank my USA Global Purple Day partner The Anita Kaufmann Foundation and our friends at The Epilepsy Association (of Central Florida) for putting on such an amazing event for everyone. I also want to thank all the sponsors and supporters, all of you are helping to make a change and a difference in the lives of people living with epilepsy. We couldn’t do this without you
I am so glad I was there to be a part of it all and to meet everyone, I loved hearing your stories and sharing the magic with all of you. Thank you everyone who attended the event and to all our wonderful sponsors. Thank you Brion for the beautiful pics and my mom for some of the behind the scene pics before, during, and after the event. Thank you also to everyone who has sent me their pics to share in the album.
If you see yourself in the photos please feel free to tag yourself and if you have Disney pics you would like to have added send them to me and I will add them in
