18th Annual Hare Racing Experience

What: ESF will hold its 18th Annual Hare Racing Experience 5K, 1 mile walk/run and fun runs (kids 6 & under). Join us for this annual event that brings out more than 400 runners and walkers and their families to raise money and awareness for our Foundation. And help us celebrate PURPLE DAY!

2010 Phoenix Epilepsy Walk

What: The walk benefits Epilepsy Foundation of Arizona's education and support programs. Over 2,000 participants are expected to attend. Registration is at 6:30 a.m. with a walk start time set at 8 a.m.

2010 Purple Day Talent Contest for Youth on Epilepsy Awareness

When: Register by March 1st, 2010
What: The Victoria Epilepsy and Parkinson's Centre invites high school youth age 12-17 to develop a creative work that educates people about epilepsy. Individuals or groups are encouraged to develop a short song, film, dance or other original work that will raise awareness about epilepsy. All applicants will be given information about epilepsy and will showcase their work on March 19th to a panel of judges. The winners will receive cash prizes and will perform at Purple Day events in support of epilepsy awareness on March 26.

A Night of Stand Up Comedy for Epilepsy

Purple Day Softball Tournament - Delaware, USA

Where: Delaware State University softball fields in Dover, Delaware
What: The Dover Hornets host a collegiate softball tournament with five NCAA Division I softball teams in support of Purple Day. Games will run all weekend and all teams will wear purple wristbands and shoe laces to support epilepsy awareness. In addition, there will be an epilepsy awareness info table care of the Epilepsy Foundation of Delaware, a restaurant gift card raffle, and donation stations to collect money for the Epilepsy Foundation of Delaware.

Conceived by three smart cupcakes at The Anita Kaufmann Foundation (AKF), The Great Purple Cupcake Project is a sweet epilepsy awareness initiative supporting Purple Day (March 26th). During the week of March 26th, AKF is inviting bakeries and cupcakeries to feature PURPLE CUPCAKES in an effort to promote epilepsy awareness. Don't have a bakery? The talk features Dr. Martin del Campo, MD, FRCPC, Neurologist, UHN. Join us and learn more about epilepsy causes, new treatments, and medications. Rosie Smith, Director of Adult Services, Epilepsy Toronto will also talk about the social impacts of epilepsy as well as the range of support available at Epilepsy Toronto.
